Biomedical Informatics at the University of Utah celebrated it's 50th anniversary on April 18th, 2015. Attendees included past and present faculty, student, alumni, donors, and industry leaders. The event included the following presentations:

- The pervasive influence of Homer R. Warner and The Biomedical Informatics Department at the University of Utah: Ten original contributions by Paul D. Clayton, PhD
- The Beginnings of Informatics at the University of Utah: The First Few Years by Reed M. Gardner, PhD
- What it meant to be an Informatics student at Utah: What will the future bring? by Dean F. Sittig, PhD
