Congratulations to Brandon Welch on receiving the John D. Morgan Award. The Morgan Award is a $5,000 cash award presented each year to an outstanding PhD student in the Department of Biomedical Informatics in memory of John D. Morgan, PhD who passed away in 2006. The award was presented at a seminar on December 12th to Brandon Welch who presented his paper titled Clinical decision support for genetically guided personalized medicine: a systematic review. A reception followed to honor Mr. Welch. Dr. David Morgan and Ms. Elizabeth Morgan Harmer were in attendance representing the Morgan family.
