Dr. Ken Kawamoto wins 2012 Homer R. Warner Award

Dr. Ken KawamotoThe Department of Biomedical Informatics is pleased to announce that faculty member Ken Kawamoto, MD, PhD, has been awarded the 2012 Homer R. Warner Award for his paper, Clinical Information System Services and Capabilities Desired for Scalable, Standards-Based, Service-oriented Decision Support: Consensus Assessment of the Health Level 7 Clinical Decision Support Work Group.

The award, made yearly as part of the American Medical Informatics Association's (AMIA) Annual Symposium, is for the paper that best describes approaches to improving computerized information acquisition, knowledge data acquisition and management, and experimental results documenting the value of these approaches. Candidate papers are drawn from the distinguished paper nominees recommended by the AMIA Annual Symposium Scientific Program Committee.
