Abstract

There is a gap between researchers and market-facing businesses regarding usable innovation. Many research labs are organized around finding "the next big thing" regardless of whether or not there is a market ready for the next great widget. Market-facing businesses on the other hand, are focused on maximizing revenues and/or profits for the current fiscal period. HP addresses this gap through the use of Applied Innovation labs such as the Advanced Federal Healthcare Innovation Lab (AFHIL). This presentation will address how HP and various industry partners utilize AFHIL to link researched innovations with real-world business needs such as clinical and administrative workflows in Federal Healthcare settings.
